CCS students have been wearing uniforms for many years and the school has enjoyed an atmosphere of greater order and neatness. Students are less tempted to exclude those who don’t dress “a certain way” or buy a particular brand. The temptation to call attention to oneself through clothing is removed. Cherokee Christian Academy (grades K-8) uses a single uniform five days per week. The uniform incorporates many options to maximize flexibility for parents. Cherokee Christian High School (grades 9-12) uses a two uniform system--Dress and Standard. Dress uniforms are worn once each week (for chapel day) and on other special occasions. Standard uniforms, which are more causal, are worn on the other days. The last Friday of each month students in both schools are allowed to wear wear Spirit attire (i.e. jeans and a school sponsored shirt).
