Standardized tests provide one way to compare Cherokee Christian Schools to other schools. The chart below for the annual standardized national test shows the results for fifth and eighth grades and how they compare to the nation as well as Cherokee County public schools. The average percentile for CCS Kindergarten through 11th grade students is an astounding 97th percentile. In a testimony to consistent excellence, CCS has scored in the 95th percentile or above for the last five years! The magnitude of the achievement is more clearly understood when two facts are taken into account. First, there is no “teaching for the test.” Students follow the school curriculum for the year in all subjects and give answers based on their growing knowledge. Second, CCS does not have an enrollment requirement that excludes children unless they test in the top 25-35%. New students applying to CCS are tested to predict their ability to succeed in the age appropriate class.
