Bachelor of Science in Hospital Administration – Quinnipiac University
Michael W. Lee was raised in a family of seven in Eastern Long Island, New York. He attended Quinnipiac University in Connecticut on a basketball scholarship and graduated in 1978 with a BS in Hospital Administration. During the next 15 years, Michael had a successful entrepreneurial career in property and casualty insurance business.
In 1993, Michael met his Lord and his life moved away from pursuing wealth to serving Christ. In 1998, Michael went into full time ministry with Crown Ministries as Associate City Director, responsible for teaching lay leaders how to lead small group Bible studies on Biblical stewardship. Additionally, Michael became a school board member of Cherokee Christian Schools (CCS) that same year.
In 1999, Michael became President of the CCS board and led the campaign to build a new school campus. In 2000, Michael resigned from the CCS board and Crown Ministries and became the Headmaster of Cherokee Christian Schools. In 2003, CCS began Cherokee Christian High School and renamed the elementary school to Cherokee Christian Academy. As a result of CCS consisting of two schools, Michael’s title was changed from Headmaster to Superintendent.
Michael has been married to his wife, Robin for 33 years. Robin also works for CCS as a high school math teacher. They have two children (27 and 23 years old), both of whom attended Cherokee Christian.
Michael’s family worships at Faith Community Church in Woodstock.
