CCS offers Varsity and Junior Varsity volleyball for high school girls. Students in 9th and 10th grade may participate at the JV level. Students in 10th through 12th grades may participate at the Varsity level. This program will emphasize a whole team effort toward winning games. CCHS does not participate in a specific conference so all games are scheduled independently with other area Christian and private schools. The equipment fee for volleyball is $50.

Coach Richard Ruppel – Ladies Volleyball

Richard Ruppel is the varsity and JV volleyball coach.  He is new to coaching, having coached for the first time in the 2012 season at CCS.  Coach Richard has 16 years of volleyball experience including 8 trips to the US Open national championships and a top 5 finish.  He brings knowledge and enthusiasm to CCS and a desire to help develop a life-long love of the game.  Coach Richard and his wife Christy, have 2 daughters at CCS, Lauren in 2nd grade and Camryn in kindergarten.

CCS offers volleyball for middle school girls. Students in 6th through 8th grade may participate and teams are formed based on participation levels. In the event that enough middle school players are not available, 5th grade students may be invited to participate. This program will emphasize a whole team effort toward winning games. CCS middle school is a member of NAML and games are scheduled with other area Christian and private schools. The equipment fee for volleyball is $50.

Coach Christine Mamon – Girls Volleyball

Christine Mamon’s coaching career began at CCS in the Fall of 2002 after accepting a teaching position in the Physical Education Department.  Throughout her time at CCS, she has served as an elementary P.E. teacher, Athletic Director, head coach of the MS, JV and varsity women’s volleyball teams. Additionally, she helped initiate the school’s Elementary Soccer and Basketball programs and is a founding member of the current CCS Sports Booster Club.

Coach Mamon considers herself blessed to be a part of the growth of the volleyball program at CCS and is excited about the current program consisting of the traditional MS, JV and varsity teams as well as the newly established Recreational Volleyball Program for elementary students.

Coach Mamon’s playing career began with her 8th grade MS team and culminated with playing for Villa Maria College of Buffalo under scholarship.  Coach Mamon’s passion is to teach as many young ladies as possible to enjoy the game she loves.  Mrs. Mamon has two daughters who attend CCS and both play volleyball competitively, Samm (9th grade) and Alexis (7th grade).
