Cherokee Christian Schools (CCS) have families that attend over 90 different churches representing at least 10 different denominations. Christians from all denominations and ethnic backgrounds join together to provide a Christ-centered education for their children. This "unity in diversity" provides the foundation in which true education can take place. This is best shown in our standardized achievement test results. We, as a member of the American Association of Christian Schools, administer the Stanford 10 Achievement Test to all kindergarten through 11th grade students each Spring. These students have consistently outperformed county, state and national averages. The chart below shows last year's School Norm Averages for grades 3, 5 and 8.

The Complete Battery of tests include the following assessment areas:
Our excellent scores are the result of solid curriculum and quality teaching. We do not teach the test. However, we believe it is important for students to develop good standardized testing skills. By the time a student takes the SAT in high school, he/she is well adept at standardized testing. We are proud of our test results, proud of our students, and proud of the Christian diversity here at CCS. Part of our mission is to strive for academic excellence. Standardized testing is one of the means available to measure our success. |
