Core College Prep with Distinction
The Pillars Practicum is our core college prep with distinction pathway and meets or exceeds the Georgia state requirements for language arts, grammar, history, mathematics, and science with electives available in technology, foreign language, music, art, and physical education.

Summary of Graduation Requirements

English | 4.0 | English 9 and American Literature are required. Additional courses may include: British Literature, World Literature, or Advanced English classes as available. |
Social Studies | 4.0 | Must include at least 1 unit of world history or geography, 1 unit of US history, and 1 unit of government/ economics |
Mathematics | 4.0 | Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, and another math beyond those (such as Pre-Calculus or Advanced Algebra/ Trig) |
Science | 4.0 | Must include at least 1 unit of a life science, such as Biology, and 1 unit of a physical science, such as Conceptual Physics or Chemistry, and two additional science courses. |
Foreign Language | 2.0 | Must be two credits in the same foreign language. |
Physical Education/ Health | 1.0 | Physical Education and Health |
Fine Arts | 0.5 | A variety of Fine Arts courses are available and may include: Conceptual Drawing, 3D Design, Studio Art, and Drama. |

Electives | 1.0 | Any courses beyond the requirements listed above. For example, a fifth unit in math counts as fulfilling this elective requirement, as would a third year of a foreign language. |
