The third way to participate in Dual enrollment is for the student to not leave the high school to go to the physical college location, nor stay at their high school and take classes online. The third way, and the ideal way, is to take classes for both college and high school credit at their Christian high school.
This third way gives the best possible opportunity for parents and their children because:
- Classes are taught by the same teachers that they have known and have access to for years.
- Classes are taught with a Christian worldview.
- The students’ last two years of high school are in in high school, where important years for growth and maturity continue.
- The student continues to participate in high school sports, fine arts, and other extra curricular opportunities.
- There is no need for transportation to the local college so financial and time management burdens are avoided.
But, there is no public or private high school in Cherokee county that provides this third way. That is, until now. Beginning in the 2016-2017 school year, Cherokee Christian High School began offering, at no additional cost, dual enrollment classes on campus, taught by our teachers, who are adjunct college professors.
