Jeff Tankersley began his teaching career in 1993 in his home state of South Carolina. He and his family later moved to Colorado Springs where he continued teaching 4th grade while working on earning his Master of Divinity.  Over the next 14 years, Mr. Tankersley’s experience included teaching middle and high school logic, starting a cottage school, home-schooling, and private tutoring.  He has also enjoyed teaching various classes for his home churches.  He began as a  teacher in the Humanities department at Cherokee Christian in both the middle and high school in 2016.

His main interests and hobbies include football and ultimate frisbee, singing and playing instruments, debate, politics, religion, board games and card games, and travel, but especially – family.

Mr. Tankersley is married to Erin, a personal trainer and nutrition specialist.  He has three children (Taylor, Anna and Ben), who are all attending KSU (with Taylor graduating in December 2016).   The family attends Faith Community Church.
