Welcome to CCS!
It is our privilege every year to welcome new families to CCS. We want to do all we can to make your transition as smooth as possible. Below are a few of the most common questions new parents ask about the start of a new school year. You can also visit our dedicated Parents page for a comprehensve library of parent resources. What time does the school day begin and end?
Primary School (Pre-K – 6th)
- Morning Carpool: 8:00 – 8:25 a.m.
- School Day: 8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
- Afternoon Carpool: 3:05 – 3:30 p.m.
Secondary School (7th – 12th)
- Morning Dropoff: 7:45 – 8:25 a.m.
- School Day: 8:25 a.m. – 3:25 p.m.
- Afternoon Carpool: 3:30 – 4:00 p.m.
How does morning drop off and afternoon pick up work?
We have created a special Carpool page that provides all the details you will need to navigate morning drop off and afternoon pick up. Please review the information on the Carpool page carefully before the first day of school. Carpool times are as follows:
Mornings
- Primary School Carpool: 8:00-8:25 a.m.
- Secondary School Dropoff: 7:45-8:25 a.m.
Afternoons
- Primary School Carpool (Pre-K – 6th): 3:05-3:30 p.m.
- Secondary School (7th – 12th): 3:30-4:00 p.m.
What about before and after school care for my student?
GrowthCare is our before and after school program for students who need to be dropped off before morning carpool begins and/or picked up after the afternoon carpool session concludes. GrowthCare for ALL grades (PreK-12th) takes place in the Primary School building. Please visit our GrowthCare page for details and pricing for this service. Below are the times GrowthCare is available:
Morning GrowthCare
- Primary & Secondary Schools: 7:00-8:25 a.m.
Afternoon GrowthCare
- Primary School (Pre-K – 6th): 3:35 – 6:00 p.m.
- Secondary School (7th – 12th): 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.
Is there a form I need to complete if my student is absent from school?
Student absences must be authorized by a parent/guardian by completing our online Attendance Form. Please review our Attendance policies found in the Student/Parent Handbooks for the Primary and Secondary Schools for more details.
Where does my student athlete go after school to wait for a later game or practice to begin?
The only supervised option available for students after school is GrowthCare. If parents allow their student athletes to remain on campus to attend other games, they will not be under any direct supervision by CCS faculty or staff.
How do I order lunch for my student?
CCS partners with Schoolhouse Fare to deliver hot lunches from area restaurants each day. The order deadline for the full lunch menu is 5 days prior to the lunch delivery date. In addition, there is a 24-Hour menu which is open until noon the day prior to the selected lunch date. Click the link below for detailed instructions.
